Hello readers! I am so sorry that I have not been posting like I used to. I miss doing my nails, and reading all of your blogs. I've decided to give you all a little update about my life, and why I've been absent for so long.
Last year I was diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. I was playing D&D with some friends one night, and I started to hurt all over. I thought I was getting the flu. But I never got better. I went to the doctor and got some tests done. Then I got the phone call saying that I have an autoimmune disease. I was crushed. So after a while, seeing many doctors, and getting prodded and poked for months, they figured out what was wrong with me. For those who don't know, an autoimmune disease means that my immune cells are confused, and think my body is a threat. They attack my joints, bones, muscles, and organs. Also with fibromyalgia, it basically means that my nervous system is screwed up, and I feel pain differently than others. If I get poked in the arm, it burns like a million hot coals in a bucket of lava. I have random burning and stinging sensations, and I have very sensitive skin.
All of this has absolutely ruined my life. I can no longer work out, since my body is always in pain. I get tired easily, and I have flares that can last weeks. It has caused me to not be able to take care of my children the way I want to. No more climbing on mommy. It has also ruined my marriage. I am currently going through a divorce. With all of this garbage going on, the low dose of chemo has ruined my nails, hair and skin.
But I'm trying to get them back. I'm still a nail polish fanatic, and I miss doing my nails every day. I also miss talking to all of my readers.
So please be patient with me, and watch out for some nail designs. I'm behind on the trends, but I will get myself back in the game, now that my doctors are helping me feel comfortable.

Hope you all are well! <3
So here's what I did:

1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Orly Tough Cookie (for the peeling awesomeness of it!)
1 coat Gelous
3 coats Milani 3D Holographic Green
2 coats Hit Polish Punked Up Kicks
1 coat Seche Vite

Again, with the Milani Holo, it was thin and I had to do 3 coats to make it opaque. But I love the coarse rainbow of these polishes!!!! Hit Polish is phenomenal! So smooth, no fishing, and gorgeous!!!! The little green holo glitters went beautifully with this Milani polish! I wanted to swatch a lot last night, but after putting this mani together, I couldn't take it off!! Stunning!!

Have you tried Hit Polish???

Until next time...
This manicure show cases one of them!

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Orly Tough Cookie
1 coat Gelous
2 coats Milani 3D Holographic Gold
2 thin coats Silly Lilly Polish: Christmas Boo Boo
1 coat Seche Vite

I love both of these polishes!!! The Milani was a bit thin, so an undie polish should have been used. It was almost opaque in two coats! But the rainbow was gorgeous! It is a coarse holo! The indie polish was amazing! Went on like butter, and I didn't have to fish for glitters!!! Every girls dream!!!

Have you ever used Silly Lilly Polishes???

Until next time...
I absolutely loved how it looked! My only issue was with the Elf glitter polish. So let me tell you what I did and then I will go into the issues I had.

1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Orly Tough Cookie (this base coat polish peels off wonderfully!)
1 coat Gelous
2 coats NYC Big APPLE red
1 coat Elf glitter polish
1 coat Seche Vite

The reason why I do not like this elf polish is purely because it stinks. It literally smells so bad. Not like a normal nail polish smell. It made me so nauseous. I love the gold glitter and I love the holo hex glitters, I just cannot stand the smell. Blegh.

I really love this red polish! It's a good red, cleans up well, and only needed two coats!

Until next time...
I love it when polishes dry to a silky, velvet like finish. So naturally I dashed to Walmart to *hopefully* find the whole line! I found 9 out of 11! Good haul for me!!

Since I'm on a gradient kick, I couldn't wait to see how these velour polishes would look in an ombré mani!!!

So here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
Then I used Pure Ice: Grunge, Touch Me Softly, and Temptress for the gradient

One photo is shown with no top coat, and one is shown with 1 coat Seche Vite.

Which is your favorite!?

I can't wait to do some stamping and simple manis with these polishes. They're opaque and gorgeous!!!

Do you own any from this line? What do you think??

Until next time...
I did these a little while back. (sorry about blog spam, I'm seriously trying to catch up!)

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
1 coat NYC French White Tip
Then using a makeup sponge, I used NYC Times Square, Spoiled Let's Get Sushi and Julep Alicia for the gradient.
1 coat China Glaze Fairy Dust
1 coat Seche Vite

I really enjoy doing "ombré" or gradient manicures. They're so much fun to do and to look at!! ;)

The only issue I had with this manicure was using NYC Times Square for this gradient. I didn't realize it was a jelly before I started using it. So it didn't show up or blend as well as I would have liked. Still a pretty good turn out! :)

Hope you enjoy!! <3

Until next time...
I am a huge sucker for any white polish with colorful glitters. I own quite a few!
When I saw this polish from the cirque du soleil line, I had to have it!!

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
1 coat NYC French White Tip
2 coats China Glaze It's a Trap-eze
1 coat Seche Vite

I added a fimo star to my ring finger nails. I absolutely love how this turned out!

As I am catching up with blogging, I have a manicure I did a little while back to share with you all!
Here is Essence Chic Reloaded. Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
2 coats Essence Chic Reloaded
1 coat Seche Vite

Here is why I love this polish: it was opaque in 2 coats! I have two other polishes that are similar in their duochrome awesomeness, but this one is for sure my favorite. No under color used, just the polish by itself. Awesome!!

Have you tried this polish? What do you think of it??

Until next time....
I absolutely loved them!
I bought Pox and Gangrene. They are milky jellies with translucent hex glitters. The application was beautiful. I did have to fish for glitters, but I really didn't mind! They are absolutely stunning!!!

Here's what I did for both:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat NYC French White Tip
2 thin coats Wicked Polishes
1 coat Seche Vite.

Hope you all enjoy!
Good evening! Sorry for the few days of no posts...my daughter got crazy sick, and I haven't been sleeping. Her oxygen levels got pretty low, so I had to literally stay awake all night to make sure she was still breathing. Scary stuff. But she is better, and things are all right! :D
I have a beautiful manicure to share with you all. Unfortunately, I had some tip wear and chipping by the time I got around to taking photos, but I still think it is beautiful.
This manicure has a special meaning for me. My youngest daughter is being tested for autism. She sees therapists, speech therapists, has been poked and prodded, and we still aren't sure what exactly is wrong with her. We are doing one of the many autism tests next week, so hopefully it'll shed some light on why she has developmental delays. I have always been a huge supporter for autism awareness. I bought the Scentsy warmer as soon as they came out and expressed that they would be donating to Autism Speaks. I also have donated about $100 to Autism Speaks with my jewelry company. And now that I have a daughter who might be autistic, the efforts I have put towards the awareness of autism mean so much more.

On a side note, and I know some of my IG followers have already heard a version of this, but it needs to be said. I am so incredibly proud of my daughter. I am SO proud to be her mommy. She works so hard, and she is trying SO hard to communicate. We have extremely rough days, and I go out of my mind trying to figure out new ways to keep her from harming herself and others during her "melt downs", but it is all 100% worth it. Every time she smiles at me, and actually looks me in the eyes...I know it is all worth it in that split second, because no matter what people think about developmental delays, I KNOW my daughter is loving, creative, caring, and SO incredibly smart. I couldn't have asked for a better little girl. And God has truly blessed me. I have the patience to help her, and thank the Lord, the resources to get her the best care I can possibly get. I worked with a Special Education class in middle school, and enjoyed every second of it. I gave up my summer in 7th and 8th grade so I could help these kids, who were my age, learn and grow. Even when I was 12 years old, I knew God had a plan for me, and I knew it had to do with what I was doing. I can't express how lucky I was to be able to work with and become friends with these incredible people. And now I can use what I learned so many years ago to help my baby girl.

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
1 coat NYC French White Tip
I used Wet N Wild's I Red A Good Book, Revlon Coastal Surf, L'oreal Jet Set To Paris, and Color Club's un-named yellow. I took a make up sponge, soaked it in water, placed these four colors on the sponge and blotted them on. As they mixed, they created the purple and green. :)
Then using BM-319 and Konad Special Black I stamped on the puzzle pieces.
1 coat Seche Vite

This was an extremely emotional manicure for me. I don't even know how long I cried after doing this and creating the description for IG. Being a mother to a kid who has special needs is hard. And since I'm doing it alone right now, it takes a toll on me. I needed that cry.

Because I am hosting a contest on IG, with the theme being owls (which ends on the 15th!), I wanted to show my followers that doing owls is easy peasy, even for a person who isn't good at doing nail art. And I sure am not good at doing a lot of nail art.
Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
Then I took reinforcement stickers and placed them at the bottom of my nail, and painted the tips. All colors are apart of Color Club's All About Color collection...again, they still don't have names. I used a dotting tool for all the details.
1 coat Seche Vite
Then I took all of the colors from Color Club's All About Colors collection (which of course are unnamed....) and a Dots Neon Green and dripped them into water. I literally spent the previous day looking at water marble videos...so if you are curious as to HOW I did this, check out YouTube! :D
Again, I am going to apologize for the lack of photos. I took a ton of photos...but they were all the same pose. I don't know what was going on in my head that day, but apparently getting different angles of this manicure wasn't one of them...Lol
ALSO! All my Instagram followers, I am hosting a contest!! Check out my IG: @manicuremommy for details!! <3
I have an Indie polish to share with you. The seller is currently on vacation until the 20th of September, but here's where I found this polish: Enkelini Nail Polish

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
2 coats Enkelini Lucky You
I stamped the design using BM-305 and Konad Special Black
1 coat Seche Vite

This is supposed to be a dupe for Max Factor Fantasy Fire or Clarins 230. I also have another polish called Ringer by Darling Diva Polish, but Lucky You is MUCH more opaque and can be used on its own. :D

I wish I had taken more photos of this, but for some reason, I literally only took two. :(

Well, until next time...
Gooooood morning! I am trying to be less MIA lately, but with a huge problem with the internet, lots of appointments, and two tornadoes I call children destroying my house, I've had a hard time coming back. But I promise to have some AWESOME manicures for ya!

I also have decided to do less typing and trying to do more photos. Let me know if you'd rather hear me blab on. LOL.

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
1 coat NYC French White Tip
Then I followed a tutorial by an IG gal I follow. The link to her blog and tutorial is HERE!
And the link to the actual tutorial is HERE!
Please go check her out, she is AMAZING.
I used Revlon Coastal Surf and Orly Green Apple alongside NYC French White Tip to create this gradient effect with a make up sponge.
1 coat Seche Vite

As Aubrey explains, the REAL trick to this is wetting the sponge before applying the polish.
Good afternoon! I did an amazing manicure the other day, and I have been dying to share it with you all! It is by far the best manicure I have ever done...in my opinion. :D

So let's get to it! <3

So here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
1 coat NYC French White Tip
1 coat Seche Vite
Then I took Maybelline Fierce & Tangy, Orly It's Not Me, It's You, Wet n Wild On A Trip and I Need A Refresh-Mint and mixed a little bit of each with acetone and dabbed my nail with the polish/acetone dipped brush. I started with the darker colors, then went to the light. I kept adding until I like it.
Then I stamped with Konad Special White and BM-322.
1 coat Seche Vite

I googled water color nails, and found videos...but I watched so many videos on this, I honestly don't remember which ones I watched...sorry. But go to youtube and search for it!

Also, as a side note, I had a dream about doing these nails. I had seen water color nails before, but I REALLY wanted to do a white stamp over it to kind of make the illusion that I painted the lines in between the white spots...if that makes sense.

I hope you all enjoy this manicure! <3
Good morning! I have a fun manicure to show you today! (I promise, I am almost caught up to my Instagram..and will be posting blog posts as I go...)

As I told you all before, I bought a ton of new Orly mini bottles, so naturally, I had to keep using them! So here we go!

I must admit, I do not think these are my best work. My lines could be much better, and the dots, which I wanted to look more like lace than regular dots, did not turn out to my liking. But failed or successful manicure will be featured on my blog. I'm human. So I have bad days too.

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
2 coats Orly It's Not Me, It's You
I used Pure Ice Black Rage for the black french tip.
Kiss White Striper for the stripes.

I found Orly's It's Not Me, It's You to be wonderful! I absolutely love the shade, the application, and how girly this polish is. This is for sure going on my full bottle wish list!! I love it!

Clearly, I need to do a little more practice on my stripes, but I found the Kiss White Striper polish to be perfect as well. It is my unsteady hands that are the problem. Lol.

Well, until next time....
Good morning fellow nail polish lovers! I have a few things to tell you all!

So, someone on Instagram had posted a little while back that Haute Look was doing a sale on Orly mini nail polishes. Well, of course, I had to jump on that as quick as I could, and I am so glad that I did so! (You can find Haute Look HERE!) For $35.95, I received the following:

Winter Wonderland
Teeny Bikini
Royal Velvet
Rockin' Rockette
Retro Red
Pure Porcelain
Pixy Stix
Ole
It's Not Me, It's You
Fiesta
Fabulous Flamingo
Cosmic Kiss

These are all in Orly's mini size which is .18 Fl Oz. They are small, but I really enjoy small bottles. Gives me a chance to try out the polish without spending $8+ a polish all at once. (And now I know which bottles I want in full size!) Without shipping (Which was $5.95) these bottles were sold at $2.50 a piece. WHAT A STEAL! They would only let me buy the twelve at a time. I tried to buy more...but no success. Next time I will be prepared with an additional Haute Look account....although I don't know if that goes against their rules....must research!

Any who, the manicure I am showing you today is done using Orly's Fiesta! So here we go!

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
2 coats Orly Fiesta
Stamping with Konda Special Black and BM-313.
1 coat Seche Vite

How fun is this manicure?? I love love love Fiesta! It is such a beautiful pink with a little bit of shimmer! Gorgeous!! The application was cake, and so was the clean up! I think I need to buy this polish in the big bottle!!

I really love my new stamping plates from Bundle Monster! (I mentioned these my last post, remember?) This particular stamp is from the 2012 collection. I think the black pattern makes the pink really pop!

Have any of you tried Orly's Fiesta? Do you own Bundle Monster plates? Would you try this manicure?

Until next time...
Good morning! I have another bright and fun manicure to share! So here we go!

Here's what I did:
1 coat Nail Magic
1 coat Gelous
2 coats Sally Hansen Snappy Sorbet
Then I took Spoiled Club Rat, Wet n Wild Candy-licious, and Orly Prelude To A Kiss and BM-301 and did a subtle gradient.
Using the same plate, I used Konad Special White and added the stamping
1 coat Seche Vite

I really enjoyed this manicure while it was on my fingers. The orange made me look much more tan than I actually am, and that is ALWAYS a win in my book. Snappy Sorbet went on wonderfully. It was a bit patchy with the first coat, but the second coat cleared it up beautifully. I really do love how subtle the gradient is. It is almost like it isn't there, but when you look closely you can see it. Sometimes subtle is the way to go.
I got this stamping plate from the Bundle Monster 2012 collection, which I bought with my birthday money! (Thanks Mom and Dad!!) I have never had any problems with Bundle Monster plates...so you all should go check them out! You can find their plates and other items on Amazon.com. :D
